still hope…

The values are antiquated, the practices still in fashion,

the munificence is gone, that binds the nation,

the hope is apocryphal, the mind is vacuous,

Dying seems simple, living is dangerous,

appearance is being flaunted,

conscience is daunted,

vehemence is everywhere around,

all minds are caged and bound,

the infamous are praised,

the honest ones are dragged,

fervor inside is long dead,

dreams are burned and living is made,

a thought suddenly sparked,

kill the body and free the soul, it barked.

the body will be gone within a moment,

the soul will again be fervent,

no more pressures, and nothing to cope,

life survived, as there was still hope…

Shreyans, marvelous poem. Complacency can indeed by deadly, thank goodness for hope. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead. ~ Mia
